Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is an item that makes certain Pokemon evolve. The Upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's picture disc and is sometimes offered as a reward in Pokemon GO events.

The only exceptions are glyphs that can only be placed into gathering tools, and enchantments. Both can be removed and replaced.

Insignias and enchantments will show their names on the hover display of the item, while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their names to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g. an Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item upgrade will display the number of upgrades that have been added to it.

Glyphs

Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements like ligatures, ornaments, fractions, swashes registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to look up and insert these unique characters as well as normal glyphs, such as em dashes and en dashes registered trademark symbols and glyphs that don't appear in other fonts (such as dingbats).

Each Glyph provides a character with a boost in their primary stats. The glyph can also have up to four secondary stats that will alter the radius of your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage increase that is multiplied by additional bonuses, with the exception of Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.

Selecting the Glyphs and clicking "enchant" will activate them. This will bring up a new window that displays the Glyphs you have available that can be applied to the selected item. Be aware that only the correct kind of Glyph can be applied to the item level upgrade you are looking for and each weapon, piece of jewelry or armor piece can have an array of different Glyphs.

Glyphs can be leveled up through the use of Nightmare Dungeons or completing Tree of Whisper quests. The more difficult a area is, the more Glyph experience you'll gain. Once a Glyph is at level 15, it can be upgraded on the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The Paragon Board's radius increases by one node each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.

You can narrow down the selection of glyphs by selecting an option beneath "Entire Font". For example, punctuation is only displayed in punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limits the choices to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling
